Soluroc designs and manufactures innovative wear-resistant and impact absorption products for skips.
These Flexarmor rubber products are custom-made according to the specific needs of each skip application.
Designed to protect the impact zone during loading, they can be of the following types :
Molded on our large format presses, the parts are made with a premium quality rubber compound offering high anti-cut and anti-wear properties. Their format can be up to 11′ 6” long and 4” thick.
Flexarmor’s skip curtains are molded in one piece from our premium quality rubber compound to give you the most durable product possible.
Fabric reinforcements are included in the piece to prevent tearing at the end of its service life and a steel plate is molded in the bolt holes area to maximize strength.
Flexarmor curtains can be equipped with back ribs to create an extra thickness and increase the deformation and energy absorption capacity at impact.
The curtains can be made of rubber only but since the impact angle is very shallow on these applications, we often mold Steelguard, Abreco or HT steel inserts to optimize the wear performance on certain areas of the curtain.
Molding rubber onto a steel backing sheet is a technique we use for many products, so we are very comfortable manufacturing skip wear liners using this technique.
These parts are mounted in the skip by bolting through the structure and the plates can be built to two standards:
For this type of plate, it is also possible to improve wear performance in certain areas by including Steelguard, Abreco or HT steel inserts.
These rubber plates molded on steel sheets can be of uniform thickness up to 6″, but we can also create Hi-Lo type plates of very large size.
For use in older generations of skips, we can also manufacture Flexarmor wear plates with molded-in mounting tracks on the back. This construction allowing the T-bolts to be located anywhere on the same axis is still used, but we can often convert this assembly style to a liner molded on a steel backing , which offers more strength. We can also produce a Hi-Lo profile and include molded inserts from Steelguard, Abreco or HT steel.
